ACCOMMODATION: The hotel has 128 ensuite rooms including 4 Junior Suites, 4 Business Suites and a VIP Suite. Guests can choose from two room styles, Urban and Ocean.
The Urban style is a strong, warm, modern design, offering a relaxed atmosphere with great comfort. The artwork and lighting ideas are inspired by modern fashionable town life.
The Ocean style is soft and comfortable centered around the element of water. Atmospheric lighting and special designed artwork inspires guests to relax, evoking the atmosphere of the great river Shannon outside. The sense of water and ocean is portrayed through the design of the furniture, carpets and special colours.
A number of rooms offer guests stunning views of the river Shannon and the old town of Athlone. Several rooms have been designed to offer total accessibility for guests with disabilities. DININGS & BARS: The 140-seater split-level restaurant has elemental themes of water, fire, earth and air. The water theme is reflected in the illuminated oceanic themed glass panels, wave shaped room dividers and aqua marine upholstered dining chairs. The fire element is created through a central octagonal island hearth. Earth is mirrored through the well-lit bamboo screens and sandy coloured upholstered chairs and the air element is achieved by creating a sense of spaciousness with white light, ceiling-to-floor windows and an open plan layout.
In the relaxed and atmospheric environment of Elements Restaurant, guests will find a fresh and easy approach to our menus with a mixture of Irish and European cuisine, traditional and more contemporary dishes. An exciting range of options to amply prepare every guest for a day’s business or leisure accompanies the Radisson SAS Super Breakfast Buffet. Cold and warm buffets of the finest meats and cheeses, a selection of fruit juices, fresh fruits and water, and the most aromatic of coffees and teas are all accompanied by home-made pastries and Irish breads.
Our Quayside Bar and Lounge has a simplistic yet chic ambiance which is reflected in the contrasting buttermilk and dark cherry colour scheme, which provides the guest with an extremely comfortably environment in which to relax in and enjoy a drink, from the ever popular Gin and Tonic and Manhattan to our Bar Manager’s selection of creative cocktails.
